The picturesque village of Crovie is about 10 km East of Macduff on the northern Aberdeenshire coast. It is a single row of cottages nestled at the base of steep grassy slopes. Many of the houses have emergency exits from rear upstairs windows in case a severe storm forces evacuation up the hill. Many of the houses are now used as holiday homes.
